Chapter 13 – More life planning?
Although we spoke about financial goals we need to look at non-financial objectives as well.
Here are a few examples of what that might look like.
Two-week holidays at least three times a year, whenever I felt like taking them.
To be my own boss and not work more than thirty hours a week
To have many intelligent, rich friends involved in business and art.
A loving charming wife and beautiful children, allowing me to have a fulfilled family life.
A maid, cook and gardener to free us from the everyday tasks.
Its amazing what the mind will deliver when asked the right questions. This may all seem a bit unreal, but there is no doubt that there are thousands if not millions of people all over the world that have achieved these things and more.
Don’t allow your negative mental attitude and your ingrained habits of thinking small keep you in fear of pursuing your goals, dreams and a life filled with joy, love and happiness.
Those who consider this kind of life plan unachievable simply think small since, everything being relative under the sun, this ambition is hardly exorbitant. The proof is that the rich would be exceedingly unhappy if they had to make do with the paltry conditions I have just sketched out.
Many of them live in houses worth millions of dollars, employ dozens of servants and own private planes, yacht and even their own islands and a few races horses – you understand what I mean.
Do they find that their lifestyles are blown up out of all proportions? Hardly. They don’t even think that they are rich. In any case not that rich, since they always have friends which are richer than them. Why do they find this kind of lifestyle normal? Either they were born rich, or they thought big and managed to raise themselves to this status and achieve their dreams. None of them ever believed that he/she couldn’t do it.
